NELFA remains deeply engaged in the legislative process concerning cross-border recognition of parenthood within the EU. Since the Commission’s proposal in early December 2022, numerous (virtual) meetings have taken place (in close cooperation with ILGA-Europe, and notably with representatives from the EU-Parliament, providing us with the opportunity to present our perspective. NELFA has since developed its own position paper, approved by the Network’s Board in late August.
