As we have done for the past several years, NELFA (Network of European LGBTIQ* Families Associations) is proud to once again attend this year’s ILGA-Europe Annual Conference, taking place in Bucharest from October 18 to 21, 2024. This annual gathering of LGBTIQ advocates, allies, and activists is a key event for advancing equality, and NELFA is excited to continue contributing to these vital discussions.
On Saturday, October 19, NELFA will be hosting a workshop titled “Strengthening Rainbow Families: Strategies for Courageous Advocacy and Inclusion.” The session will explore the unique challenges and successes of rainbow families in today’s political landscape, offering practical tools and strategies for advocacy. As civil rights face mounting threats, the role of rainbow families in promoting diversity, inclusion, and democratic values is more critical than ever. We invite all participants to join us for this important conversation.
Additionally, NELFA’s board members attending the conference will be more than happy to meet with fellow participants for coffee or other informal gatherings.
