NELFA had the possibility to speak about rainbow families in problematic cross-border situations – before the European Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs in Brussels, on 19th of November 2018. The aim of Board member Björn Sieverding was to urge the institutions to ensure mutual recognition of civil documents like marriage or birth certificates. You will find a video of the hearing here. At the meeting, NELFA had only the possibility to speak eight minutes. But, we prepared also a longer version with more examples:
